We commenced the design and manufacture of Gallium Nitride based U.V. sensors during Q4 2005. High investment in R&D, state of the art fabrication and assembly equipment together with highly efficient manufacturing techniques have placed Orion at the forefront of our field delivering customers the best possible price, performance combination with assured reliability.

Typical application areas of our Sensors are Personal U.V. Index Measurement, Pedometers and Watches with UV Detection, Weather Stations and U.V. Sterilisation Systems.

We design and manufacture complete UV Index meters, our first meter the UV100 was released in June 2007 and incorporates an innovative LED display our UV200 uses a conventional LCD display. At the heart of both units is our own OS100 sensor. Our meters offer unrivaled accuracy and reliability at a very competitive cost. We will be pleased to supply our models on an OEM basis and can incorporate customer requested features and redesign per customer requirements.

In addition to our own U.V. products we have strategic partnerships with ACP Optoelectronics an LED and related products manufacturer, Yuejing High Technology an advanced high volume producer of Discretes and Linear I.C.’s, LCJH Optoelectronics for Ful Motion LED large scale displays and VBond Technology Ltd a chip on board (COB) assembly house. We represent their assembly services and distribute their finished products worldwide allowing us to offer customers a broad range of quality components, modules and advanced semiconductor assembly services.
